This is my other fixed ride, which is technically my track bike (at least that's what I built it for). However, after ~6 months of racing it dawned on me that I'm lacking in competitive spirit, that I'd rather spend Tuesday nights watching Good Game on ABC2, and that I truly am just a skinny hipster whose ideal ride is a short skid session to the nearest cafe to drink $5 drip filtered coffee. So now it just sits in the spare room looking nice. This is an SBDU pro frame, apparently made for this guy, Steve Jones of Team Weinmann. Alongside the serial number are his initials and frame size. Seeing as this was built in 84 it would've originally been flying the Weinmann/Panasonic livery, so at some point it has been repainted in the Team Castorama colours. I don't know what the story there is but it's a shame 'cause it would've made a sweet match to my road bike. Anyway, Frame: 1984 TI Raleigh Team Pro - Reynolds 753 frame + fork. Campagnolo Pista HS Drive: Raleigh custom track cranks (mystery, perhaps made by Zeus), DA 48t chainring, Izumi chain, Superbe Pro 14t cog. Wheels: Campagnolo Record track hubs to Mavic GP4 rims Steering: Cinelli Milano stem to Cinelli Pista bars I'm still not sure what I want to do with this. I'm not riding it on the street as it has no lockring, wheels are tubs, and I ain't a fan of the SPD SL + street + brakeless combo. Maybe I'll try and get back into track when I move to Syd, maybe I'll just swap a few parts and make it a street whip. Or maybe I'll polish and paint to hang on the wall. I dunno

That's a sweet ride, great that you know its history too.
